CHESS ENDGAME
This competition is ideal for the beginner and expert alike. It is meant to be flexible so you can take part as little or as much as you like and you have the option of using a computer program.
a)To enter read the following rules carefully and if you agree to abide by them just send the solution to this week's position via email.
b)Solutions must be in English Algebraic notation and clearly laid out. It helps if the main line is in bold. c)Any annotations must be concise and in the English Language. d)Scoring: Maximum score for position solved is 5 points. e)Deadline for entries each week is Friday 04:00 GMT. f)At the end of each calender month the player having the highest score will be declared the winner. Sometimes a number of months scores are combined due to breaks. g)The monthly winners score is cancelled and he goes to the bottom of the ladder to start a new climb !! He will be awarded "#". The other solvers keep their score. h)If a solver becomes inactive (i.e., no contribution in 8 weeks) his name and cumulative score will be removed from the list. i)The organizer reserves the right to change the rules from time to time but these changes will be published at the beginning of the competition or the monthly cycle. j)The organizer cannot get into lengthy postal disputes about individual scores. Important Notice: The deadline of Friday 04:00 GMT hours for receiving solutions each week is important. Late solutions will not be scored.
